Facilitated Strategy Sessions

Many management teams are looking for support in developing their strategies or addressing specific issues
without wanting a full blown, high ticket, strategic consulting effort by a major firm.  Often times the in house
managers have the same ideas as outsiders provide, but have been unable to either focus on the idea, or to get
the point across internally.

Internal strategy sessions, facilitated by an objective third party with relevant experience and exposure, can
provide a low-risk venue in which to discuss these ideas.

Integrative Strategies can help by: 1) interviewing senior managers to identify the potential ideas, 2) establishing
ground-rules for a strategy session, based on the specific organizational dynamics, 3) facilitating the dialogue,
and 4) formulating the results into a pragmatic work plan.

Managers occasionally get stuck on an issue or have a need to bounce the idea off of an objective third party.
This can often be done by picking up the telephone and calling an organization with whom they have worked
previously.

There is a gap between where the quick phone call stops and a consulting initiative begins.

Integrative Strategies often helps organizations deal with issues by providing 2 or 3 day advisory efforts to help a
manager formulate ideas, create a presentation, track down comparative information or otherwise provide a
sounding board.

Short-term Project Management
In many cases, a project will get into trouble and managers will contract for additional resources to help on the
delivery.  However, it is rare for managers to contract for project oversight, which might have been the weak link to
begin with.

With its objectivity and background in helping to ensure the success of large, often intense, initiatives, Integrative
Strategies is frequently asked to step in on an interim basis to provide project oversight, to conduct a risk
assessment process or to identify potential pit falls.
